Now, let us take a short wine tour through New Mexico…

Casa Rondeña Winery

Casa Rondeña Winery is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Established in 1995, this quiet winery is situated in the North Valley along the banks of the Rio Grande River. Blending adobe, stone with ancient timber architecture, Casa Rondeña Winery blends spiritual elements with Native American and Spanish culture. Soothing water fountains and manicured lawns will surround you as you discover the taste of Animante, a blended wine produced from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals. According to Casa Rondeña Winery, “The Tasting Room at Casa Rondeña Winery allows you the opportunity to sample the entire portfolio of our fine wines made on the winery premises.” This romantic winery made Travelocity’s Top 10 Things to Do in Albuquerque for Couples list.

Gruet Winery

Gruet Winery is located in the heart of Albuquerque, NM. The Gruet family has been making quality champagne in France since 1952. In 1993, the family decided to open up their own winery in New Mexico. According to the winery’s website, “With high elevation, sandy loam soils, and sweeping winds to naturally keep away pests and thin the canopy for greater flavors, New Mexico’s desert landscape proved the ideal starting ground for Gruet.” On December 31, 2016, Gruet’s Brut wine was awarded 90 points and was listed in the 100 Top Values of 2016 by Wine Spectator. You can sample this wine and many other varietals as you indulge in homemade tarts and cheesecakes.
