Not all bottles are created equal! The XL insert was developed to accommodate bottles that are larger than the standard 750ml, like a robust California Cabernet, in your VinGardeValise®. 
To use: Insert the neck of your bottle into the cavity neck first (at about a 45-degree angle), then gently press the body of the bottle into the insert.
